The posting

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact - on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we're pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping. As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

You will join a global team working at the forefront of an evolving pharmaceutical technology, with significant opportunities to shape how Single-Use separation is adopted worldwide. The role gives you broad exposure to customers, production processes and sales organizations across the world, while allowing you to work alongside colleagues with deep commercial and industry expertise. With us you will have the opportunity to combine technical depth with real customer impact, playing a visible role in bringing a more flexible and efficient separation technology to the pharmaceutical industry. As a Global Business & Application Engineer - Single-Use, you will work closely with customers, sales companies and colleagues across the global organization to support the conversion from conventional filtration to Single-Use high-speed separation technology. You will act as the technical bridge between the global sales team, the local sales organizations and the customers, providing hands-on support on validation, process understanding and production scale-up while identifying new business opportunities along the way.

Key responsibilities: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts, tied to production scale-up and expansion. Drive business growth by turning technical and application support into long-term customer adoption of Single-Use separation technology by performing hands-on technical work for trials & testing. Support Alfa Laval sales companies and customers directly on validation activities and general process troubleshooting related to Single-Use separators. Support the technology conversion narrative - helping customers and local teams understand the shift from conventional filtration to Single-Use separation technology. Follow market and process developments in Single Use separation to continuously strengthen internal and external knowledge.

The position is based in Flemingsberg, but for the right candidate location can also be Lund, Kolding or Søborg. The role requires frequent global travelling, approximately 70 - 80 days per year. You will be part of a team of eight experienced colleagues who look forward welcoming you to the world of Alfa Laval. Who you are

You are commercially driven with a strong business mindset. We believe you are a technically curious person who enjoys being close to production processes, solving real problems and turning technical understanding into customer trust and business results. You are confident in explaining complex technical value propositions in a simple, credible way, both to customers and to the internal organization. You thrive in a global, cross-functional environment and maintain your drive and patience when supporting the adoption of a technology that is still building momentum in the market. What you know

To succeed, you combine a commercial mindset with a strong technical and application expertise. You have an understanding of separation technology, ideally with exposure to Single Use separator systems. Key in this role is communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders at different levels. Requirements: Engineering degree or equivalent technical education (biotechnology, chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering or similar). A few years of experience in sales or business development, in a complex technical sales-based environment. Familiarity with validation principles (IQ/OQ/PQ, GMP context) relevant to pharmaceutical production environments. Familiarity with filtration technologies is a merit, as it provides a valuable comparative reference point for this technology conversion story. Excellent communication skills in English in addition to either Swedish or Danish depending on your location.

Merit: Knowledge of bioprocessing / up- or downstream processing in biopharma production. Driving licence

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
