As part of our Resilience Environment team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your expertise in geology or environmental science your work could involve a range of remediation, sampling, and monitoring activities as directed and in accordance with relevant Health and Safety or other operational standards.

They should be comfortable working collaboratively with project teams, clients, and a variety of stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in both written and verbal interactions. The ability to clearly and concisely convey thoughts and ideas in writing is essential. A solid mechanical aptitude and experience with the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of remedial groundwater systems are highly valued. The candidate should maintain a strong health and safety focus, while also exhibiting effective time management and computer skills. Flexibility is essential, with a willingness to shift between tasks as project needs evolve, as well as the ability to perform physical work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Additionally, the candidate must hold a valid, clean driver’s license and successfully pass a background check and drug test as conditions of employment.

In this role, your responsibilities will involve actively participating in a combination of in-office and field-based responsibilities to support our team. The role may include:

  • Coordinate with task and project managers, working with on-site subcontractors and field staff, supporting sampling, data collection, and field documentation.
  • Apply standard field practices and techniques using basic field equipment to collect samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, sediment; prepare samples for shipping, and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork.
  • Prepare preliminary data and scientific documents under supervision of project staff.
  • Manage personal workloads; apprising project managers of progress and obstacles and presenting project outputs for inclusion into project deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science or closely related field.

Preferred

  • 40 Hours OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • General knowledge of the environmental, health and safety field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of applied safety protocols for execution of field work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
