Legal Counsel – Fintech (3-Month Contract)

Our client, a fast-growing fintech firm, is seeking a Legal Counsel for a 3-month contract to provide legal support, with a strong focus on employment law and litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with experience navigating employment disputes and managing contentious legal issues in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on employment law matters, including employee disputes, disciplinary actions, termination and workplace-related issues.
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, working closely with external counsel where required.
  • Draft, review and negotiate employment agreements, settlement agreements and other legal documentation.
  • Support the business on general commercial legal matters and assess legal risks arising from business operations.
  • Partner with HR, Compliance and senior management to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements

  • A recognised law degree with relevant legal experience in employment law and litigation.
  • Prior experience handling employment disputes, contentious matters and legal proceedings.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services or a technology-driven environment would be advantageous.
