About Arena Intelligence

Arena is the platform for evaluating how AI models perform in the real world. Founded by researchers from UC Berkeley's SkyLab, we're on a mission to measure and advance the frontier of AI for real-world use, and to build the foundation for everyone to understand, shape, and benefit from it.

Tens of millions of people use Arena each month to evaluate how frontier systems handle the work they actually do. The preferences they share power the most transparent, rigorous, and human-centered evaluations in AI. Leading AI labs, enterprises, and independent researchers rely on our work and open datasets to understand how models behave in real workflows: agentic coding, creative generation, professional productivity, and beyond. We go beyond leaderboards and decompose what human experience reveals about AI, so models advance toward the work people actually do.

We're a team of researchers, academics, builders, and creatives from UC Berkeley, Google, Stanford, and DeepMind. We seek truth, move fast, and value craftsmanship, curiosity, and impact over hierarchy. We're building a company where thoughtful, curious people from all backgrounds can do their best work together, in an office culture that radiates excellence, energy, and focus.

About the Role:

Arena is looking for a Product Marketer to shape how millions of people understand, experience, and evaluate AI models in the real world. In this role, you will own the consumer-facing narrative of Arena, helping clarify what the product does, why it matters, and how people should use it to evaluate and use frontier AI models for their actual real-world needs.

As a key member of the growing Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, you will sit at the intersection of product, data, community, and storytelling. Your work will directly influence how users discover Arena, how they move through the product, and how clearly they understand model strengths, tradeoffs, and use cases to keep our audiences engaged.

This is a high-impact role focused on making Arena intuitive, credible, and indispensable to knowledge workers that want to stay at the forefront of AI. You’ll translate complex systems—crowdsourced voting, dynamic leaderboards, model routing, and evaluation methodology—into clear value for users, while preserving the scientific rigor and academic precision that Arena is known for.

We believe evaluation should be grounded in real usage, and shaped by the people who rely on AI every day. This role is for someone who can turn that belief into product positioning, onboarding, GTM feature launches, and user-facing education that scales.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning consumer-facing positioning and messaging across Arena’s core consumer product surfaces, ensuring users understand what Arena is, how it works, and why it’s trustworthy.
  • Defining and refining value propositions for Arena’s user experiences (e.g., direct model comparisons, leaderboards, voting, routing) grounded in real-world use cases.
  • Partnering with Product and Design to improve onboarding, navigation, and feature discovery for new and existing users.
  • Leading go-to-market efforts for consumer-facing launches, updates, and experiments—including launch messaging, in-product education, and external announcements.
  • Translating Arena’s evaluation methodology and data into clear, accessible explanations without oversimplifying or undermining credibility.
  • Developing frameworks to explain model differences, strengths, and tradeoffs in ways that help users make better decisions.
  • Collecting and synthesizing user insights, behavioral data, and feedback to inform messaging, product direction, and prioritization.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Research, Comms, and Community to ensure consistency between what Arena is, what it does, and how it’s perceived.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Growth, or Consumer Marketing roles, ideally in developer tools, SaaS, AI, or data-driven products.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical or data-heavy systems into clear, compelling consumer-facing narratives.
  • Proven experience partnering closely with Product and Design on onboarding, UX copy, and feature launches.
  • Track record of leading go-to-market efforts for consumer-facing products or features.
  • Deep empathy for users and strong instincts for clarity, trust, and usability.
  • Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and visual mediums.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and iterating quickly in an early-stage, fast-moving environment, attention to detail and organization are critical.
  • A proactive, self-directed work style with strong ownership and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AI products, evaluation frameworks, or data-driven marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with user research, experimentation, and behavioral analytics.
  • Background in communities, platforms, or products with network effects.
  • Experience explaining scientific methodology and complex systems to target audiences.
  • Familiarity with key software tools and software (such as Notion, Google Drive, PostHog, Figma, Linear, etc.) a huge plus.
  • Prior startup experience a big plus.

What we offer

  • We offer competitive compensation aligned to the markets where our team members are based. The compensation range for each role is listed on its posting and will depend on the candidate's experience and work location.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and additional support programs.
  • The opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI with a small, mission-driven team
  • A culture that values transparency, trust, and community impact

Come help build the space where anyone can explore and help shape the future of AI.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
