The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Arkalytics based in the United States.

The Senior Account Executive will drive new business growth for a cloud-based data and analytics platform designed to help financial institutions transform the way they use data. This high-impact individual contributor role focuses on expanding market presence within the community banking sector and building trusted relationships with executive decision-makers. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to consultative solution selling, contract negotiation, and closing enterprise deals. Working closely with sales leadership and strategic partners, you will develop compelling value propositions that connect advanced analytics capabilities with measurable business outcomes. The role offers an opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy, penetrate an evolving market, and contribute directly to revenue growth within a collaborative, remote-first technology company. This position is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who combines industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and a passion for helping customers unlock the value of their data.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive revenue and market expansion: Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute strategies that increase revenue, market share, and customer acquisition across the community banking sector nationwide.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: Own opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution presentations, value demonstration, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Build executive relationships: Establish and nurture trusted relationships with prospective clients, financial institution leaders, executive sponsors, and key decision-makers to advance complex sales opportunities.
  • Develop compelling value propositions: Articulate the business value of cloud-based data and analytics solutions, connecting product capabilities and service delivery models to customers' strategic priorities and operational challenges.
  • Execute consultative selling: Understand prospective customers' data management, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs to recommend solutions that support informed decision-making and measurable business outcomes.
  • Expand strategic partnerships: Develop relationships with existing and prospective partners to increase market reach, generate new opportunities, and strengthen market penetration within community banking.
  • Manage pipeline and sales reporting: Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and transaction records in the CRM system, monitor pipeline health, and provide clear visibility into sales progress and forecasts.
  • Support go-to-market strategy: Collaborate with sales leadership to identify market opportunities, refine positioning, improve sales approaches, and contribute insights that support continued growth in an evolving market.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders: Work effectively with management, technical teams, consultants, project managers, customers, and support staff to ensure productive meetings, clear communication, and coordinated sales execution.
  • Represent the business in the market: Travel to customer locations, industry conferences, and relevant events to strengthen relationships, generate leads, and support sales initiatives.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets: Consistently deliver against individual and organizational objectives while maintaining a disciplined, customer-focused approach to business development.
  • Professional sales experience: At least five years of direct technology sales experience as an Account Executive or Sales Manager, preferably within financial services or banking.
  • Software and analytics sales expertise: At least five years of direct field experience selling software solutions and business intelligence services.
  • Enterprise sales capabilities: Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles, engaging multiple stakeholders, navigating executive-level buying processes, and closing high-value technology deals.
  • Financial services knowledge: Understanding of the financial services industry, ideally including community banking, banking operations, and the challenges financial institutions face when managing and leveraging data.
  • New business development: Proven ability to identify prospects, penetrate new market segments, build relationships from the ground up, and generate measurable revenue growth.
  • Consultative selling skills: Ability to uncover customer needs, develop tailored solutions, communicate technical concepts clearly, and demonstrate business value to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Pipeline and CRM management: Experience maintaining accurate sales records, tracking opportunities, and managing pipeline activities using HubSpot, Google Workspace, or comparable CRM and productivity tools.
  • Communication and relationship building: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior executives, negotiate commercial agreements, and establish long-term customer relationships.
  • Organization and prioritization: Strong time-management, planning, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain momentum across multiple opportunities, and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities: Strong critical-thinking skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate customer challenges, and develop practical solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset: A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding individual and organizational sales goals, taking ownership of outcomes, and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Leadership and teamwork: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, contribute to shared objectives, and build productive relationships in a collaborative environment.
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred technical sales experience: Experience selling data warehouse platforms, business intelligence solutions, or analytics technology within financial services.
  • Preferred commercial experience: Familiarity with complex, consultative solution sales and experience driving market penetration in emerging or strategically important market segments.
  • Preferred work environment experience: Previous experience in a startup, small business, or fast-paced organization where adaptability, initiative, and hands-on execution are essential.
  • Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry conferences as required to support business development and relationship management.
  • Competitive compensation: Annual compensation range of $130,000–$280,000, as listed in the original job posting.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Fully remote work environment with a flexible approach to where and how employees work.
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical insurance, with optional dental and vision coverage.
  • Financial protection: Disability and life insurance benefits.
  • Retirement savings: Access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Generous paid time off: Paid time off, including 11 holidays, with annual PTO increases based on tenure.
  • Four-day workweek: Eligibility for a four-day workweek after three years of service.
  • Learning and development: Training and certification reimbursement to support professional growth and continued skill development.
  • Employee recognition: Milestone recognition programs that celebrate contributions and long-term commitment.
  • Collaborative culture: An environment that values teamwork, humility, curiosity, accountability, and shared success.
  • Career growth and impact: The opportunity to influence sales strategy, expand a growing analytics platform, and help financial institutions make better data-driven decisions.
  • Optional office access: Access to an office in Portland, Maine, for employees who prefer occasional in-person collaboration.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
