The posting

We are seeking ambitious graduate engineers passionate about understanding and improving hardware performance and power efficiency. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work with pioneering Arm IP technology. You will develop technology that drives the next generation of mobile devices, consumer products, and intelligent systems. Start your career working in hardware development and gain experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence—fields redefining the future of computing. What you could be doing as a Graduate? As a Graduate Hardware Power and Performance Engineer, your role will include: Collaborate with a growing, highly skilled team focusing on ML and Neural Network hardware. Work across Arm's international centers to build and analyze next-generation IP using the latest methodologies and technology. Learn to analyze and optimize the effectiveness and power consumption of complex hardware builds. Characterize workloads, investigate performance bottlenecks, understand power consumption, and examine how architectural and build choices impact power, performance, and area. Develop scripts and tools to automate analysis. Partner with engineers in design, verification, and implementation to build our hardware. Work on and shape solutions making use of your knowledge while also learning and further developing your skills.

Above all, you should be curious about how hardware works and eager to learn. No prior professional experience is necessary as those are built by collaborating with experienced engineers. We are looking for individuals who: Hold (or are on track to hold) a University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field by the programme start date. Curiosity about programming and scripting, with a desire to solve engineering problems. Analytical skills to understand complex systems. Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualities that will help your application stand out: Understanding of digital hardware and hardware description languages, for example, SystemVerilog or VHDL. Basic understanding of computer architecture. Experience working with programming or scripting languages such as Python. Understanding of low-power build concepts. Knowledge of Physical Implementation, synthesis, Place & Route, or static timing analysis. Knowledge of Machine Learning or AI fundamentals. Knowledge/Interest in building AI workflow agents.

Additional Information: We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis. Please submit an academic transcript along with the application. Please note that relocation support is available for this role for domestic moves within the country and regional moves within Europe. Visa sponsorship support is also available for candidates who require it. In Return: You’ll receive a starting salary of SEK 545,000 (Bachelor level) or SEK 555,000 (Master level), alongside a comprehensive rewards package. As you develop in role, you’ll have clear opportunities to progress within the salary range at Arm. With mid-year and year-end reviews, you’ll have two formal progression windows each year, recognising your growth. You can also attend our "Grad-teach-Grads" workshops, guest speaker series, and social events to expand your knowledge. If you'd like to get more involved, you can join the Graduate Committee to further develop your planning, networking, and coordination skills. You’ll be invited to our Global Graduate Conference (GGC) — an annual event where graduates hear from executive leaders, guest speakers, and build lasting connections. With many of our leaders and technical specialists having originally joined as a Graduate, will you be next?

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
