Position/Titles:

  • Security Officer for Business Park/Event Center

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for conducting hourly tours, ensuring the premises is secure. Access control when checking in and out guests to property, and checking all entrances and exits.

About the Post This is a walking post. You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift, keeping a busy site safe and welcoming for guests.

What You’ll Do

  • Give friendly, professional customer service to guests
  • Complete one tour every hour, scanning 10 tags on each tour
  • Check fire panels and other instrument panels during your tours
  • Make sure all doors are closed and locked, especially the pool door
  • Keep kids from climbing trees or statues
  • Make sure guests keep alcohol in the bar area and don’t leave the bar area with it
  • Fill out hourly activity logs
  • Stay off your phone while on post

Good Fit For Someone who likes staying on the move, is comfortable talking with guests, and notices the small details.

Shifts: Saturday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sunday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Monday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Tuesday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM ** 32 HPW + Opportunity for additional shifts! **

Compensation:

$21.00 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
  • Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
  • Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Security Guard Qualifications:

  • Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
  • Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate 32-hour continuing education certificates
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs and complete multiple walking patrols throughout shift, equalling out to multiple miles walked per shift.
  • Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
