Our success is a testament to our remarkable team and what we’re building together. We’re committed to providing employees with a meaningful work experience and have established an award-winning culture that supports personal and career development in a fun, casual, and collaborative environment.

Who We Want

The Associate Claims Examiner is an entry-level position focused on building foundational skills in cargo claims management. This role involves processing claims from initiation to resolution, handling basic financial transactions, and developing an understanding of claims requirements for values up to $100,000, all under the guidance of a Claims Lead. The Associate Claims Examiner will professionally communicate with external parties and collaborate with internal teams, while also developing a basic grasp of the transportation industry and business acumen. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow into a Claims Examiner role by demonstrating core competencies in claims processing, financial handling, and communication. Once the following responsibilities are mastered and can be done independently, you will have the opportunity to move up into a Claims Examiner role.

What You’ll Do

  • Development and Learning: Develop a foundational understanding of the requirements for processing claims up to $100,000, with direct oversight and assistance from a Claims Lead. Demonstrate basic competency in these areas as a prerequisite for advancement. This includes building a strong understanding of industry regulations, terms and conditions, and insurance policies relevant to claim processing.
  • Foundational Claim Processing: Process assigned claims efficiently and accurately, from filing to resolution, while meeting time standards. This includes reviewing documents for accuracy and collaborating with the Claims Lead to research and evaluate evidence to make informed decisions.
  • Financial Transaction Processing: Process payments to customers and deductions from carriers. Identify the different parties involved in claims-related financial transactions, including customers, vendors, carriers, and internal credits.
  • Foundational External Communication: Communicate professionally and diplomatically with external parties (carriers, insurance companies, customers) to provide status updates, request information, and resolve basic concerns. Handle basic de-escalations effectively on phone calls and in emails.
  • Foundational Acumen & Internal Engagement: Develop a basic understanding of the transportation industry and essential business acumen. Maintain ownership of assigned claim tasks and adhere to established time standards. Work cooperatively with internal sales, customer service, carrier representatives, and accounting teams to facilitate claim processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or 3 years of professional experience in customer service, administrative support, or the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Google Suite; conduct basic risk analysis and general data reporting.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. You understand that proactive communication is key.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
