This platform enables teams across the firm to efficiently access, discover, and leverage critical datasets through scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly services.

In this role, you will design and develop cloud-native applications, APIs, frameworks, and platform capabilities that accelerate the onboarding of new datasets and implementation of the investment process. You will partner closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, improve platform usability, and deliver solutions that simplify how data-intensive applications are built and operated across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native services and platform capabilities that support business-critical applications.
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for a shared platform supporting both batch and real-time workloads.
  • Oversee and contribute to building features for data discovery, lineage, governance, ingestion operation, cost management, performance, etc.
  • Achieve high quality metrics through automated testing, robust operational tooling, and highly-available cloud architecture.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies, architectural patterns, and engineering practices to improve platform scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
  • Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring, and resilient cloud architectures.
  • Troubleshoot and support production systems to ensure stability and minimize disruption to business-critical processes.
  • Collaborate closely with business and engineering stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Partner with cloud infrastructure and security teams to ensure platform capabilities are secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building software applications, developer platforms, or distributed systems in a production environment.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, system design, testing, and code quality.
  • Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, C#, Java, Go, or similar
  • Experience building and deploying applications and services in AWS or another major cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Experience designing and deploying APIs and client libraries using tools such as OpenAPI, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with event-driven or streaming architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or similar messaging systems.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to solve complex business and engineering challenges.
  • Experience partnering with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with experience influencing stakeholders and balancing business needs with technical considerations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
