This role combines strong process engineering expertise with customer-facing engagement, supporting process qualification, troubleshooting technical challenges, and enabling successful technology adoption at customer sites. You will collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and ASM's global organizations to deliver high-value process solutions and contribute to customer success.

What you will be working on

  • Support process qualification, evaluation, and NPI activities at customer sites, implementing ASM best known methods (BKMs) and process improvements.
  • Execute customer-specific experiments, DOE activities, and process demonstrations in collaboration with ASM process teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve process and equipment issues in development and production environments, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor equipment and process performance to ensure alignment with customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Support customer technology development activities and provide technical feedback to ASM product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Global R&D, Product Marketing, and Service teams to drive process improvements and address customer needs.
  • Contribute to long-term customer success by supporting technology adoption and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

What we are looking for

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience requirements: Master's degree with 4-7+ years of relevant industry experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in PECVD, CVD, ALD, thin film deposition, or related semiconductor process technologies.
  • Experience in semiconductor process development, process integration, manufacturing, or capital equipment industries.
  • Background in roles such as Process Engineer, Integration Engineer, Application Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, or KAT Engineer is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor process fundamentals and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues.
  • Experience supporting process qualification, NPI activities, technology transfer, or customer evaluations.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional global teams.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English.

What sets you apart

  • Experience working directly with leading semiconductor manufacturers such as Samsung or SK hynix.
  • Hands-on experience with PECVD or other thin-film deposition systems.
  • Experience supporting customer evaluations, process qualifications, or technology ramp activities.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
