Job Description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL’s logistics excellence and Aramco’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective:

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the safe, accurate and controlled execution of all inventory-management activities at the SPARK site. The role oversees inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, system and interface exceptions, stock-status management, inventory adjustments, reporting and implementation of approved process improvements. The role translates the site inventory plan and contractual agreements into daily execution by coordinating inventory personnel, operational interfaces and BY-WMS activities. The Inventory Supervisor is accountable for inventory accuracy, traceability, timely resolution of discrepancies, audit evidence, team performance and escalation of material inventory risks. This is a hands-on frontline leadership role requiring strong operational presence, system discipline and analytical problem solving.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead all daily inventory activities, including cycle counts, ad-hoc counts, recounts, stock reconciliation, bin verification, location audits and inventory-status reviews.
  • Execute the approved cycle-count programme and allocate work based on inventory risk, value, movement history, customer priority and operational requirements.
  • Ensure physical stock, quantity, bin, lot or batch, serial information, unit of measure, ownership and inventory status remain aligned with BY-WMS and approved records.
  • Oversee discrepancy resolution through recounts, transaction tracing, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and approved adjustment workflows.
  • Monitor BY-WMS inventory interfaces, inventory snapshots and transaction exceptions and coordinate resolution with Operations, IT and system-support teams.
  • Control inventory adjustments, posting and status changes, holds, transfers, SLED, returns, damaged stock, blocked stock and scrap-related transactions.
  • Coordinate with inbound, outbound, quality and operations teams to resolve stock exceptions without uncontrolled manual transactions or workarounds.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, count completion, recount rates, adjustment trends, status integrity and unresolved or ageing variances.
  • Prepare inventory reports, variance analysis, management updates, audit evidence and clear handovers.
  • Escalate high-value, recurring, aged or customer-impacting inventory risks to the Operations Manager.
  • Lead inventory controllers, cycle counters, inventory analysts and other assigned employees.
  • Allocate work, set priorities and verify completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coach the team on count discipline, scanner use, transaction tracing, reconciliation, evidence collection and escalation.
  • Identify skill gaps and support training, cross-training and development of inventory key users.
  • Promote accountability, segregation of duties, independent verification, safety awareness and disciplined action closure.
  • Ensure compliance with approved inventory policies, SOPs, work instructions, count plans, adjustment controls, HSE and quality requirements.
  • Enforce correct use of BY-WMS reports, handheld scanning and approved inventory workflows.
  • Prevent unauthorized changes, unsupported manual postings and uncontrolled workarounds.
  • Maintain controlled count records, reconciliation evidence, exception logs, adjustment support and audit documentation.
  • Support SIT, UAT, cutover, operational readiness and stabilization for inventory-related changes.
  • Use KPIs, variance trends and root-cause analysis to recommend practical improvements.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Candidates without a degree may be considered with at least 10 years of relevant, progressive and verifiable inventory, warehouse or logistics experience, including substantial frontline leadership responsibility.
  • Selection should prioritize inventory-control competence, BY-WMS and ERP understanding, analytical capability, people supervision and measurable delivery results.
  • Inventory forecasting & planning is preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM, CIPS, CILT, Lean, Six Sigma, WMS, ERP, inventory-control, data-analytics or supervisory certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Normally 7 years of relevant inventory-control, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or industrial operations experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years leading or supervising inventory-control or frontline warehouse teams is preferred.
  • For candidates without a bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of proven relevant experience may be accepted as the practical-equivalence route, subject to interview and competency assessment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
