The posting

As Visual Merchandising Manager you will take ownership of visual merchandising standards across our three standalone stores and three concessions. You will translate seasonal, brand and creative direction into inspiring, commercially focused retail environments that enhance the customer experience and support sales performance. Working closely with the Area Manager, Senior Art Director, Marketing and Store Managers you will act as the visual merchandising expert for the estate. This is a highly autonomous role, requiring you to proactively identify opportunities, make commercially informed recommendations and drive improvements across the stores.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working approach, with time split between our London stores and remote working when appropriate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Visual Merchandising

  • Own and maintain VM standards across all stores and concessions.
  • Implement seasonal campaigns, product launches and brand direction effectively.
  • Manage product presentation, styling, zoning, adjacencies and customer flow.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits, identifying opportunities and ensuring actions are followed through.
  • Monitor windows following installations, recommending and actioning improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure consistent brand presentation while adapting to individual store layouts and stock levels.

Commercial & Stock

  • Use sales, stock and category data to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Identify slow-moving or underperforming products and develop visual strategies to improve sell-through.
  • Conduct space and stock planning and review allocations ahead of seasonal drops.
  • Ensure key products, newness and commercial priorities receive appropriate visibility.
  • Support key trading periods, promotions and product launches.

Team Development

  • Act as the VM expert for the retail estate.
  • Coach and support Store Managers and teams in visual merchandising best practice.
  • Build capability within stores so high standards can be maintained between visits.
  • Provide clear feedback, guidance and practical solutions to improve execution.

Collaboration & Planning

  • Work closely with the Area Manager to understand commercial priorities.
  • Partner to translate creative direction into retail execution.
  • Collaborate with Buying/Merchandising, Marketing and Operations where required.
  • Manage a VM calendar covering seasonal launches, campaigns and key trading periods.
  • Provide regular updates on VM standards, opportunities and actions across the estate.
  • Support new store openings, refits and other retail projects where required.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in Visual Merchandising, ideally within fashion, premium or lifestyle retail.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how VM can influence sales.
  • Excellent eye for styling, presentation and detail.
  • Confident analysing sales and stock information to inform decisions.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience coaching or developing retail teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently.
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to make recommendations and decisions.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
