As Racquets Supervisor, you will take full responsibility for leading and operating the Junior and Adult Racquets programme creating an exceptional experience for our members every day.
This is a hands-on and dynamic role. You will spend approximately 50% of your contracted hours (19 hours per week) on court, delivering high-quality Junior and Adult group coaching, while also managing the operational, commercial and people aspects of the Racquets department.
You will work closely with the Activities Manager and other Club departments to increase participation.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Racquets professional who combines strong coaching skills with leadership, organization and commercial awareness.
Your Responsibilities
Team & Department Management
- Lead, motivate and develop the Racquets coaching team.
- Manage rotas, coach attendance, payments and recruitment.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, coaching observations and performance reviews.
- Ensure coach qualifications and documentation are up to date.
- Manage the maintenance of all the tennis courts & infrastructure
Racquets Programme & Commercial Performance
- Plan and develop Junior and Adult programmes, activities and events.
- Deliver approximately 19 hours of on-court coaching per week.
- Drive participation and maintain programme occupancy targets.
- Organise Racquets Welcomes, Taster sessions, tournaments and social activities.
- Monitor KPIs, participation, P&L and departmental costs.
- Manage equipment, stock and purchasing.
Member Experience & Standards
- Engage with members and use their feedback to constantly improve our services
- Deliver an outstanding member experience
- Promote Racquets activities to existing members and increase participation.
- Ensure facilities, equipment and Health & Safety standards are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with other Club departments and external partners.
Your background
- At least 3 years' experience in Tennis/Racquets or a related sports environment.
- Recognized Tennis/Racquets coaching qualification.
- Experience coaching Junior and/or Adult groups.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with good organizational skills.
- Passionate about sport and delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Proactive, energetic and flexible, including evenings and weekends.
- Fluent in French and English
