We are seeking an ORION Precision Cleaning Technician, Senior, 2nd Shift at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Roles and Responsibilities:
Support precision cleaning, inspection, and assembly of aerospace flight hardware in ISO‑class cleanrooms. Follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, contamination‑control requirements, and FOD‑prevention practices. Perform precision chemical, solvent, mechanical, and ultrasonic cleaning of flight tubing and components. Inspect tubing and assemblies using borescopes and specialized tooling to verify cleanliness and quality conformance. Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing to validate tube structural integrity. Perform material preparation tasks including cutting, deburring, and honing raw metal tubing prior to fabrication. Handle and transport aerospace hardware with extreme care while maintaining flight‑readiness standards. Maintain accurate documentation, traceability, and cleanliness records within controlled manufacturing processes. Support assembly technicians and engineers with contamination‑critical hardware preparation and integration tasks.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; hands‑on mechanical, manufacturing, or shop experience preferred. Ability to safely work with chemicals, solvents, and high‑pressure test equipment. Strong attention to detail, ensuring zero particulate contamination in flight hardware. Ability to follow strict procedures and work effectively in cleanroom environments. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
