ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team. This position supports real-time aeronautics research and low earth orbiting space vehicles using radar and mobile tracking systems. This is a temporary position not to exceed 6 months. This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations. Responsibilities:
Provide real-time and post-flight engineering and technical support for all supported radar tracking and mobile systems. Perform pre-mission setup of fixed tracking systems to meet specific mission or project requirements and in accordance with established procedures. Capture and archive real-time data. Provide preventative and corrective maintenance of all hardware systems supported Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures with common electronic measuring equipment.
Requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school and 1 year of related work experience Ability to troubleshoot using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector scopes, and TV signal generators. Must be U.S. Citizen Maintain a valid Driver’s License and possess a REAL ID Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; Existing Secret Clearance Preferred
