The posting
Ready to take the next step from offshore, the workshop or yard?
Marwell is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Stavanger.
This could be a great opportunity for someone with some years of hands-on experience from the oil and gas industry who is ready to take the next step. Perhaps you have worked offshore, in a workshop, pipe yard or another operational environment and are now ready to move into a role where you can take ownership of the bigger picture.
At Marwell, you will get the opportunity to combine your operational and technical understanding with planning, coordination and customer dialogue – and take responsibility for keeping our deliveries on track.
The role
As Operations Coordinator, you will take ownership of the operational flow of Marwell's deliveries within our Sand Control product line.
With several projects and deliveries running in parallel, your job is to keep the full picture in sight – what is in production, what is on its way, what equipment needs to come together, what the customer needs and what is coming further down the line.
Some activities need to be planned many months in advance, while others require quick decisions and problem-solving along the way. Being able to look ahead, identify potential risks and make sure the right people have the right information at the right time will therefore be an important part of your role.
You will work closely with customers, manufacturing partners, logistics providers and your colleagues at Marwell, becoming an important link between everyone involved in getting a delivery successfully from production to the end user.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the operational coordination of customer deliveries within our Sand Control product line
- Keeping track of multiple projects and deliveries running in parallel
- Coordinating equipment, production, logistics and delivery schedules
- Planning ahead and making sure upcoming requirements are identified early
- Following up deliveries from our manufacturing partners in Europe through to the end user
- Maintaining close and proactive dialogue with customers and other stakeholders
- Coordinating relevant delivery documentation and Proof of Delivery
- Identifying potential risks, bottlenecks or delays and taking initiative to resolve them
- Making sure customers and other stakeholders have the information and support they need throughout the delivery process
Who are we looking for?
We imagine you have around 3–5 years of relevant experience, but we are more interested in what you have learned, how you work and the responsibility you are ready to take on than the exact number of years on your CV.
You may have experience from offshore operations, well services, completions, a workshop, pipe yard, OCTG/tubulars, logistics or another technical and operational environment.
You do not need to be an expert in Sand Control – we can teach you that.
What we are looking for is someone who understands operations. You know that a successful delivery is about more than moving equipment from A to B. It is about anticipating what is needed, keeping track of the details, communicating with the people involved and making sure nothing falls between the cracks.
You may now be ready to bring that experience onshore and take on broader responsibility.
We think you will thrive at Marwell if you are:
- Highly organised and comfortable keeping track of several things at once
- Proactive – you see what needs to be done and take initiative
- Comfortable taking ownership and following things through
- Service-minded and enjoy working closely with customers
- Technically curious and eager to understand how things work
- Good at communicating and keeping people informed
- Practical and solution-oriented when plans change
- Eager to learn and take on new challenges
- A team player who enjoys working in a small organisation where people help each other
Why Marwell?
At Marwell, you will become part of a growing Stavanger-based technology company delivering solutions to the oil and gas industry.
We are a relatively small team with short decision-making lines, which means you will be close to the operation, the customers and the people making the decisions. You will be trusted with real responsibility and have the opportunity to influence how things are done.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to move from being part of an operation to taking ownership of it – while developing your technical, operational and commercial understanding along the way.
The position is based at our office in Stavanger.
If you have relevant operational experience, enjoy creating structure and keeping things moving, and feel ready to take on more responsibility, we would be happy to hear from you.
