ASSYST is seeking an Insurance & Risk Management Analyst to support insurance and risk management activities for a client. The role will focus on reviewing commercial contracts and scopes of work, identifying insurance and risk exposures, recommending appropriate insurance requirements, and ensuring Certificates of Insurance and related endorsements comply with established requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate contracts, scopes of work, leases, and other agreements to identify risk and insurance exposures.
- Recommend appropriate commercial insurance requirements and contractual terms based on identified exposures.
- Review Certificates of Insurance and related endorsements for compliance with established requirements.
- Review contractual indemnity provisions and insurance requirements.
- Communicate and negotiate with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and other organizations.
- Support insurance and risk management activities while maintaining strong customer service.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize assigned workload effectively.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Preference for candidates with 2+ years of professional experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, underwriting position, or contract legal work.
- Experience with developing, interpreting and negotiating commercial contracts, leases, right of entry agreements, commercial insurance underwriting, or commercial insurance (property and casualty accounts)
- Demonstrated experience with review of contracts and familiarity with indemnity provisions and certificates of insurance.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite software applications, oral and written communication, and satisfactory workload planning and organizing
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and attend meetings or work at locations outside the office when operationally necessary.
