AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Position Overview

We are seeking a highly self-directed Data Analyst to identify, develop, and implement data-driven solutions for Telco Engineering & Operations. Rather than working only from predefined reporting requirements, this role is expected to understand business and operational problems, investigate available data, define analytical requirements, and independently build solutions that improve visibility, automate manual work, and accelerate decision-making.

The analyst will use modern analytics, automation, and AI tools to rapidly explore problems, develop data models and analytical products, validate results with business and technical stakeholders, and transition successful solutions into repeatable operational use.

This role is not limited to executing predefined reporting requests. The analyst is expected to proactively identify opportunities, formulate requirements, develop and test analytical solutions, and carry successful work from initial investigation through operational use. Success requires technical curiosity, sound judgment, ownership, and the ability to make progress when requirements are incomplete or ambiguous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively investigate Telco workflows, data, and operational processes to identify opportunities for improved visibility, automation, and decision support
  • Frame ambiguous business and operational problems into analytical questions and independently define the data, measures, logic, and tooling required to address them
  • Develop analytical hypotheses, explore available data, challenge assumptions, and identify performance drivers without requiring fully formed business requirements
  • Rapidly prototype solutions using SQL, Python, Power BI, AI-assisted development, and approved automation tools, then validate value before scaling
  • Build repeatable data transformations and analytical datasets using SQL, Python, Power Query, APIs, and approved automation tools
  • Integrate information from multiple operational systems to reduce manual reconciliation, duplicate reporting, and disconnected analysis
  • Automate recurring data preparation, validation, analysis, and reporting workflows
  • Partner with Digital Platforms and Information Technology when solutions require governed production integrations, enterprise architecture, or operational support
  • Build Power BI dashboards, models, and analytical products that answer operational and management questions and expose underlying performance drivers
  • Perform ad hoc, trend, variance, root-cause, forecasting, and scenario analysis for Telco Engineering & Operations
  • Prepare analytical datasets and models that support planning, deployment, capacity, cost, schedule, inventory, risk, and operational decisions
  • Translate analytical findings into concise conclusions, recommendations, and next actions for business and technical stakeholders
  • Validate source data, analytical logic, AI-assisted outputs, and calculations against authoritative data and documented business rules
  • Develop data-quality checks, reconciliation rules, exception reporting, and repeatable tests for analytical products
  • Document sources, transformations, assumptions, metric definitions, dependencies, lineage, and known limitations
  • Work with accountable data owners to resolve data-quality issues at the source
  • Transition successful prototypes and analyses into repeatable operational products, workflows, or governed reporting
  • Monitor usage, reliability, refresh performance, data quality, and business usefulness after deployment
  • Use AI-assisted development and analytics tools to accelerate SQL, Python, data exploration, documentation, testing, and workflow automation while independently validating results
  • Continuously improve solutions based on observed performance, user feedback, new data, and changing operational needs

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
