This role requires precision, professionalism, and a proactive mindset, with a strong focus on quality, deadlines, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture accurate, high-quality metallic components to deadline, fully de-burred and to specification.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and/or manual machine tools to produce complex, tight-tolerance parts.
  • Ensure all machined components meet dimensional, surface finish, quality, timing, and performance requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for different metallic materials.
  • Identify and resolve machining issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ERP system transactions, including job tracking and time booking.
  • Support Quality Assurance activities, including first-off inspection and in-process checks.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between shifts.
  • Participate proactively in team meetings and departmental reviews.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet workload demands during peak production periods.
  • Maintain and develop machining skills in line with current industry best practice and motorsport standards.
  • Work responsibly within company procedures, reporting structures, and Health & Safety requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Machinist working primarily with metallic materials in a high-precision environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of CNC machining (3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis milling and/or turning).
  • Excellent understanding of metallic machining processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of work holding, fixturing, datum setting, and component alignment for metallic parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and tight tolerance requirements.
  • Experience machining low-volume, high-complexity components to motorsport or aerospace-level standards.
  • Confident using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, CMM data, surface finish measurement).
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Calm, methodical, and confident under pressure, with a strong focus on delivery and quality.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to positively influence others within the team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and capable of building strong working relationships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
