We're Hiring | Consultant Pain Medicine

📍 Location: Dubai

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pain Medicine to provide specialized care in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in interventional pain management, advanced pain therapies, and multidisciplinary patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, neuropathic, and cancer-related pain conditions.
  2. Conduct comprehensive pain assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Perform interventional pain procedures, including nerve blocks, epidural injections, and radiofrequency ablation.
  4. Manage musculoskeletal pain, spinal disorders, and complex pain syndromes.
  5. Provide pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management therapies.
  6. Evaluate patients for advanced pain interventions, including spinal cord stimulation where appropriately trained and privileged.
  7. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists.
  8. Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust pain management strategies accordingly.
  9. Educate patients regarding pain management, rehabilitation, and lifestyle modifications.
  10. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital protocols.
  11. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education programs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate specialization in a relevant medical specialty, such as Anesthesiology, with additional recognized training in Pain Medicine.
  • Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent recognized qualification in Pain Medicine.
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience as per UAE PQR requirements.
  • Valid DHA Consultant license or eligibility, or ability to obtain one under the applicable professional title.
  • Strong expertise in interventional pain procedures and multidisciplinary pain management.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills.
