We're Hiring | Consultant Psychiatrist

📍 Location: Dubai

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its mental health department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, providing comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centered mental healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health conditions.
  2. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  4. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  5. Provide psychotherapy and other appropriate therapeutic interventions within the scope of professional competence.
  6. Manage complex psychiatric cases, including psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions.
  7. Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, social workers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  8. Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and long-term management.
  9. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and patient safety standards.
  10. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Contribute to clinical audits, medical education, and continuous professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent recognized medical degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
  • Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid DHA License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for the Consultant title.
  • Strong expertise in psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based mental health treatments.
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
