ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES

Astrobase Space Technologies is an early-stage Bengaluru company building a two-stage orbital launch vehicle. Our engine is a LOX–methane full-flow staged-combustion engine. The Astrobase Propulsion team is looking for experienced and passionate professionals who can own the vehicle's stage fluid and propulsion systems from design to flight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Get integration parts made: release drawings, realize integration hardware.

• Run first-article inspection on new parts to AS9102; check material, conformity and inspection certificates before acceptance.

• Raise nonconformance reports with photos and measurements, rework or repair through re-inspection.

• Deliver accepted lines, brackets, harnesses, fittings and seals with their records, and hand them to the assembly floor against the build plan.

• Plan each build stage with the floor team; track shortages, open NCRs and pending inspections, and keep the traveller checklists.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Min. 10+ years in assembly, integration or testing of aerospace, defence or space fluid systems.

• Hands-on fitting of tube assemblies, flanges, seals and threaded fittings to specified torque.

• Pressure and leak testing by pressure-decay, bubble and helium mass-spectrometer methods.

• Receiving inspection with standard metrology: verniers, micrometers, height, thread and bore gauges.

• Reads drawings with GD&T, P&IDs and work instructions; writes clear inspection and test records.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• First-article inspection and NCR/MRB work under an AS9100D quality system.

• Oxygen-service cleaning and handling (ASTM G93, IEST-STD-CC1246).

• ASNT Level II in Leak Testing (LT); leak test practice per NASA-STD-7012A.

• Cryogenic test stand work with LN2 or LOX; pressure-system safety (NASA-STD-8719.17, ASME B31.3).

• Continuity and insulation-resistance checks on instrumentation harnesses.

• Has trained junior technicians or led a shift.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Salary: ₹12–20 LPA fixed CTC, variable pay based on experience and role fitment.

• Attractive early-stage stock options (ESOPs). • Group health insurance: employee, spouse, children and parents.

• Insurance: term-life and personal-accident cover.

• Work environment: Challenging, stimulating, research-driven work solving rocket problems every day with a great team. We have a good time, and unlimited coffee.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
