Our collaborative, fast-paced team values creativity, ownership, and bringing products to life quickly. This is a hands-on role for a designer who enjoys prototyping, iterating, and solving real-world product challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative team to bring 3D designs to life in solutions that convey appropriate visual and tactile messages with consideration for the production process and cost targets.
  • Help develop and mature our existing product design language.
  • Generate multiple concept directions for assigned projects and advance strong solutions within the agreed concept and refinement timelines
  • Prepare and develop concepts for user testing through prototypes or renderings.
  • Support designers with generating and communicating the visual and physical aspects of designs through sketches, illustrations, renderings, and 3D prototype models.
  • Develop manufacturable, durable products by identifying and helping resolve design, engineering, material, and assembly challenges before final production handoff.
  • Help drive efforts surrounding R&D in new materials, 3D rendering, and on-site production.
  • Support design team with creative feedback, production assistance, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with vendors to maintain project momentum and achieve 100% alignment with agreed development milestones and deliverable dates.
  • Deliver high-quality design solutions on schedule and achieve approximately 90% approval from cross-functional partners within each project phase, incorporating feedback promptly when revisions are needed.

Design Process & Collaboration

  • Clearly communicate design strategy and creative process to internal stakeholders, including design and executive teams.
  • Participate in regular group design critiques and planning/concepting meetings in order to arrive at the best possible products and experiences for our customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify social, industry, and technology trends that influence the development of future products.
  • Set and meet design project deadlines on-time, with team support.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Creative Team and other LOBs inside the company to develop designs that align with visual assets and overall product launch goals
  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a can-do, problem-solving attitude.

What We're Looking For

  • A strong portfolio that illustrates your creative skills across the design process.
  • Great sketching, concept generation, and design development skills, knowledge of design methodology.
  • Excellent visualization skills (hand sketching, digital 2D and 3D rendering).
  • Prototyping, mock-up, and modeling ability.
  • Understanding of prototyping, materials, and manufacturing processes within product development.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of human factors and design trends as they relate to project needs.

Software

  • Strong knowledge of 2D, 3D, and rendering software – including Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Sketchbook, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, Solidworks, Cinema 4D, and Blender; Maya a plus but not mandatory.

Manufacturing & Materials

  • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes, primarily plastic injection molding, metal die casting, and stamping.
  • Familiarity with defining and implementing color, materials, and finishes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of plastics, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing
  • Strong hands-on prototyping skills across materials and methods

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, providing deliverables on time.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning projects with guidance
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and giving presentations).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education & Experience

  • BS/BA in Industrial Design, Toy Design, or a related field.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
