ATC Healthcare Services, LLC of Nassau County is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to support the staffing needs of our clients throughout Nassau County. Our clients include group homes, schools, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare and community-based settings.
We currently have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a group home serving individuals with disabilities in Nassau County, NY.
The RN will provide nursing care and clinical oversight to residents, including medication administration, health assessments, first aid, medical documentation, and coordination of residents' healthcare needs.

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
The RN will be responsible for:
- Providing professional nursing care to residents in a group home setting.
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
- Performing nursing assessments and monitoring residents for changes in physical or medical condition.
- Providing appropriate first aid and emergency nursing interventions when necessary.
- Supporting early identification of health concerns and coordinating appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintaining accurate resident health records, medication administration records (MARs), nursing notes, and other required clinical documentation.
- Monitoring residents with ongoing or chronic healthcare needs.
- Coordinating medical appointments, health assessments, screenings, and other healthcare services as needed.
- Promoting disease prevention, health education, wellness, and immunization initiatives.
- Collaborating with physicians, healthcare providers, residential staff, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), families, and other members of the care team.
- Providing nursing guidance to aides and other direct-care staff regarding residents' healthcare needs.
- Assisting with coordination of resident transportation for medical appointments and healthcare services when necessary.
- Promoting resident safety, dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
- Providing compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual, developmental, physical, or other disabilities.
- Maintaining compliance with applicable nursing standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience working in a group home, developmental disabilities, community health, behavioral health, long-term care, or similar setting preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Strong nursing assessment and clinical judgment skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, DSPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Compassionate and respectful approach to working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and a strong team player.
