The role of Service Technician is responsible for working on a day-to-day basis with the members of the Space Rentals team towards a common objective of increasing the visibility of ATCO Structures products in the respective market while maintaining a superior level of customer service. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.

This role is based in La Prairie, Quebec.

What You Get To Do:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on the rental fleet, including carpentry, basic electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, painting, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, and more.
  • Clean jobsite trailers upon return from rental (floors, walls, ceilings, windows, light fixtures, surfaces, etc.) to ensure a high standard of quality.
  • Diagnose technical issues and apply the necessary corrective actions to ensure unit compliance and performance.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and document all interventions in work orders.
  • Load, unload, and handle units in accordance with established procedures.
  • Use tools and equipment safely and in compliance with company practices and policies.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for all equipment, tools, and materials required to perform service tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all indoor and outdoor areas of the facility, including snow removal from exterior zones when required.
  • Move, organize, and optimize the positioning of units in the yard to support operational efficiency as required
  • Perform full inspections of units prior to departure and upon return from rental if needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact with operations, receive requests, and help prioritize daily tasks when required
  • Distribute and coordinate work assignments to shop technicians when required.

Who You Are:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be safety-oriented, and a good team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work well in a changing environment, and possess a sense of urgency.
  • Able to carry out moderate to heavy lifting duties and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
