The posting

IT Product Manager | Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

Location: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

Experience: 4–8 years

Role: IT Product Manager

Languages: Telugu and English

Travel: Regular travel across Andhra Pradesh

About the role

We are looking for an IT Product Manager to lead the development of technology products and digital solutions for real-world challenges across Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock and Fisheries in Andhra Pradesh.

This is a hands-on product role that combines product strategy, user discovery, technology, data and field implementation.

You will work closely with government departments, field teams, users and technology teams to understand problems, define product opportunities and take solutions from discovery and product definition through development, pilot, deployment and scale.

The ideal candidate is someone who can move comfortably between a user conversation in the field, a product requirement with an engineering team, a roadmap discussion with leadership and a deployment conversation with a government stakeholder.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Discovery

  • Own the product lifecycle from problem discovery to deployment and continuous improvement. Work with users, government stakeholders and domain experts to identify problems and translate them into product opportunities. Conduct user interviews, field visits, workshops and discovery exercises to understand workflows, pain points and unmet needs. Define product vision, objectives, user personas, journeys and key use cases. Assess whether a problem requires a technology solution and determine where AI, data, automation or conventional software can create value. Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with user needs, business objectives and implementation realities.

Product Definition & Delivery

  • Translate requirements into clear product specifications, PRDs, user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria. Prioritise features and requirements based on user value, impact, feasibility, effort and strategic importance. Work closely with engineering, design, data and AI teams throughout product development. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, backlog refinement, UAT and release planning. Ensure products are designed for reliability, usability, security, scalability and maintainability. Coordinate pilots and production releases and ensure that learnings from implementation are incorporated into subsequent product iterations. Manage dependencies, risks, trade-offs and product decisions across multiple stakeholders.

Technology & Data

  • Be technically comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, data flows and system architecture with engineering teams. Understand how different systems can exchange data and identify opportunities for integration and interoperability. Work with data and AI teams to define data requirements, product workflows, analytics and AI-enabled features. Ensure that AI-enabled products have appropriate human oversight, explainability, data governance and operational safeguards where relevant. Understand the implications of privacy, security, access control and responsible data use in public-sector products.

Product Analytics & Improvement

  • Define product KPIs and measures of success for adoption, engagement, operational efficiency and user outcomes. Use product usage data, user feedback and field observations to identify opportunities for improvement. Establish feedback loops between users, implementation teams and product development. Monitor product performance after deployment and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Implementation Management

  • Work directly with senior government officials, departmental teams, field personnel and other ecosystem stakeholders. Communicate product decisions and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Manage expectations across stakeholders while maintaining a clear product direction. Support product pilots, demonstrations, training and adoption activities. Travel across Andhra Pradesh to understand implementation realities and work directly with users.

What we are looking for

  • 4–8 years of experience in product management, preferably in technology products, SaaS, digital platforms, data products or AI-enabled products. Strong understanding of the end-to-end product management lifecycle. Experience working with engineering and design teams to build and launch digital products. Strong ability to convert ambiguous problems into clearly defined product requirements and priorities. Experience with PRDs, user stories, product roadmaps, backlog management, prioritisation and product analytics. Good technical understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, data and modern software systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Fluent in Telugu and English, both written and spoken. Willingness to be based in Vijayawada and travel regularly across Andhra Pradesh.

Good to have

Experience in one or more of the following would be valuable:

  • Government or public-sector technology products Agriculture, horticulture, livestock or fisheries Rural technology or digital public infrastructure AI or data products SaaS or enterprise software Digital transformation programmes Field-based technology deployments Working with state government departments or large institutional stakeholders

Domain experience is not mandatory. We are equally interested in strong product managers who have demonstrated the ability to learn complex domains quickly and work effectively with domain experts.

The kind of person we are looking for

You should be comfortable asking “What problem are we actually solving?” before asking what technology we should build.

You should enjoy spending time with users, understanding how work happens on the ground, challenging assumptions and then working with technical teams to turn those insights into products.

You should also be comfortable with the realities of product development: making trade-offs, prioritising limited engineering capacity, managing dependencies, dealing with imperfect requirements and continuously improving a product after it goes live.

Most importantly, you should be interested in building technology that is actually used and creates measurable value, rather than technology for its own sake.

Why this role

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, AI, government and real-world implementation, with the opportunity to shape products that can operate at scale across Andhra Pradesh.

You will work across multiple domains including Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock and Fisheries, giving you exposure to complex operational problems and the opportunity to build products that directly interact with large public programmes and field ecosystems.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
