The posting

This is an Atlantic portfolio company.

Why we exist

Every frontier model is now gated by two things: megawatts and cooling. Grid queues stretch for years, land is contested, freshwater is political.

Far offshore, the wind blows stronger and steadier than anywhere on Earth, a vast resource the grid can, by definition, never reach.

So we flipped the problem. Instead of bringing power to the load, we bring the load to the power. Our autonomous wind-turbine energy ships chase the wind across the open ocean and convert it on board into what the world needs most: compute first, then e-fuels to decarbonise aviation.

  • 70%+ capacity factor — offshore wind that behaves like baseload
  • ~€50/MWh target cost for firm, low-carbon power
  • Zero grid queue. Zero freshwater. Zero land. And the ocean as the heat sink under every rack.

Founded in 2025 by repeat entrepreneurs (with successful exits) and industrial operators. Backed by major international investors. First demonstrator vessel at sea in late 2027.

The role

This is not a sales job. It's a late co-founder seat. You will own Offshore Compute, our first and main commercial engine: strategy, product, pricing, customers and the multi-million-dollar off-take deals that put our first fleet to work.

You already know that power and thermal limits are what will stall AI scaling. You're bold enough to believe infrastructure at sea can get around both, and rigorous enough to prove it to a sceptical buyer.

What you'll do

  • Write the go-to-market from a blank page. Build the global commercial roadmap, from first demonstrator workloads to full fleet monetisation.
  • Land the anchor deals. Negotiate and close off-take agreements, capacity reservations and JVs with neoclouds, AI labs, CSPs and Tier-1 HPC operators.
  • Turn variable power into a feature. Design offers built for wind-backed power profiles: fault-tolerant batch training, asynchronous inference, dynamic pricing, zero-carbon AI clouds.
  • Connect the C-suite to the hull. Translate client requirements (SLA, latency, direct-to-chip liquid cooling) into onboard architecture specs together with our marine engineers.
  • Create a category. Use our advantages — no grid wait, no freshwater, a direct ocean cooling sink, very low carbon intensity — to win premium pricing and long-term commitments, and establish floating compute as a new asset class.
  • Be the face of it. Represent us at the top AI, cloud and infrastructure summits worldwide and make us the reference for next-generation AI energy infrastructure.

You might be the one if

  • You've been in the room where AI capacity gets bought. You've sold, built or run serious infrastructure in the neocloud, AI infra, CSP or hyperscale data center world, and you've closed the kind of deals that move megawatts. We care about what you've shipped, not what your business card said.
  • You know GPU economics inside out. H100 / B200 / GB200 cluster economics, orchestration, workload constraints. And you know the people across the neocloud and AI ecosystem who sign capacity deals.
  • You speak the physics. MW-scale power delivery, PUE, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, thermal budgets. You can explain in one slide why land-based data centers are hitting the grid wall.
  • You've built something from zero. You've scaled a business line, closed complex multi-million infrastructure contracts and thrived with high autonomy and high ambiguity.
  • The ocean pulls at you. You care about climate, and standing on the deck of a floating compute lab during sea trials sounds like the best day of your year.
  • You work in English. Fluent English is required. French is a bonus.

How you operate

  • Owner, not operator. You don't wait for a playbook. You write it.
  • Maths over rhetoric. When a buyer is sceptical about offshore compute, you open the energy and thermal maths.
  • Realistic madness. You have the conviction to break paradigms and the engineering and commercial discipline to deliver.
  • Humble and brave. You stay intellectually humble and still take bold positions, especially where conventional playbooks fail.
  • AI-native. You use modern AI tools for maximum leverage while keeping the domain authority to negotiate directly with C-level executives.

What's in it for you

  • A founding-team seat with executive terms, shaping the company and not just a function
  • A real shot at creating a new asset class at the intersection of AI, energy and the ocean
  • A small, uncompromising team of entrepreneurs and industrial leaders, backed by top-tier capital
  • Flexible hours, a base in Nantes and a mandate that spans the globe

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
