Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Talent Development Specialist to support the development of early-career technical talent at Atlas Technica. This role is designed for an experienced IT support or systems engineering professional who can combine technical credibility with coaching, feedback, and structured talent development.

The Technical Talent Development Specialist will provide day-to-day technical coaching, ticket-queue guidance, and performance feedback to Intern Trainees and Interns as they build the foundational skills required to become successful Systems Engineers. This includes developing technical judgment, troubleshooting ability, ticket quality, response discipline, prioritization, ownership, and client-service habits throughout the early stages of their Atlas career.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Lead, Talent Development to evaluate readiness, identify development patterns, improve training resources, and strengthen the systems and practices used to develop technical talent across Atlas.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical coaching and guidance to Intern Trainees and Interns as they navigate live support work and develop foundational engineering skills
  • Monitor ticket activity and service-board work to reinforce ticket quality, response standards, prioritization, documentation, process adherence, and ownership
  • Track technical development, performance, and readiness throughout the internship program and contribute to structured graduation and advancement decisions
  • Review technical work and provide practical, timely feedback based on ticket activity, troubleshooting approaches, service reviews, and observed performance
  • Handle or appropriately route technical escalations from developing engineers while using escalation situations as coaching and learning opportunities
  • Deliver individual and group coaching sessions focused on troubleshooting, technical judgment, service quality, communication, accountability, and support best practices
  • Partner with the Team Lead, Talent Development to execute established development frameworks, identify recurring skill gaps, and continuously improve the internship operating model
  • Identify patterns across intern performance and recommend training, documentation, process, or coaching improvements that strengthen engineer readiness
  • Develop and maintain technical training resources, documentation, exercises, and learning experiences that support consistent skill development
  • Help translate successful internship-development practices into repeatable approaches that can support onboarding and continued development of engineers across Atlas

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, service delivery, or a similar technical environment
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with practical knowledge of support engineering, ticket management, escalation practices, and service-quality expectations
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing interns, junior engineers, or other early-career technical professionals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows endpoint administration, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Intune, and device-management concepts
  • Working knowledge of identity, access, and account-administration concepts
  • Foundational knowledge of networking and remote connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN technologies, and common connectivity troubleshooting
  • Ability to evaluate technical work quality, identify development patterns, and reinforce best practices through clear and actionable feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, patiently, and at an appropriate level for developing engineers
  • Strong organization, ownership, consistency, and follow-through within a fast-moving service environment
  • Ability to balance technical troubleshooting, coaching, performance observation, documentation, and multiple development priorities

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience working within a Managed Service Provider or other high-volume, client-facing IT support environment
  • Previous experience developing interns, junior engineers, apprentices, or other early-career technical talent
  • Familiarity with cloud storage and file synchronization, email-security technologies such as Mimecast or KnowBe4, web filtering, telephony, audio/visual systems, printers, peripherals, and common business applications
  • Experience with Atlas Technica’s engineering environment, tools, or service-delivery practices
  • Strong process discipline with an interest in improving documentation, learning resources, and repeatable technical-development programs
  • Ability to combine strong technical credibility with an approachable, supportive, and accountable coaching style
  • Genuine interest in helping technical professionals grow while improving consistency and quality of service delivered to clients

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
