Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Remote | Full-time | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM NZDT

Role Overview: The BC Support Consultant is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to clients on Business Central software, while also assisting with implementation projects. This role involves diagnosing and resolving issues, conducting training, writing reports, and performing data imports and exports to ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, the consultant works collaboratively to optimize client systems, maintain operational processes, and uphold company service standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients via phone, email and remote sessions.
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level support as per the support procedures manual when necessary.
  • Report writing

  • Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to clients on best practice for using the software.
  • Maintain detailed records of support interactions and document solutions as per the support procedures manual for future reference.
  • Gather client feedback and relay it to the Operations Manager to improve end user experience.
  • Analyse client systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell our products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Assist in managing software implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor support email account for incoming emails.
  • Take ownership of incoming support cases and ensure timely responses provided.
  • Follow the support company’s support procedure and ensure all support cases are directed via the support email account to ensure visibility to all staff.
  • Identifying your own personal vision and work with the Operations Director to align it to the company vision.
  • Plan and manage your own work to ensure delivery of outputs on time.
  • Comply with the organisational systems (timesheets, expenses etc), processes, policies (HR etc) and procedures in place.
  • Adhere to brand standards in all external and internal communications.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure use of approved company templates and tools made available.
  • Ensure client data is accurately recorded within the company’s systems.
  • Aware of hazards and controls.
  • Safety documents are completed correctly when required.
  • Use the right equipment to do the job and know how to use it.
  • Promote the company’s culture, values, policies, practices and communication in all customers facing activities
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients, external suppliers and contractors
  • Maintain the highest levels of Customer Service, and quality delivery standards as set out in the company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Recognise and advise on opportunities to improve systems and processes
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Responsible for ensuring you meet your business-related targets as agreed.
  • Utilise the “Four Levels of Decision Making” model to take responsibility for your role and support other team members to make empowered decisions.
  • Provide ad hoc, informal and regular feedback to team members and Management Team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years in software support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, general troubleshooting, office management procedures, and basic accounting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, self-awareness, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork and company values.
