The posting

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be a member of our interdisciplinary hardware engineering team, contributing to the design and development of electronics for our next-generation drone platforms. You’ll work on electronic modules such as flight controllers, sensors, and vision systems, supporting PCB development from concept through production.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to advanced systems such as interceptor and reconnaissance drones with integrated visual navigation, as well as quadcopters for defense applications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, prototype, and validate avionics PCBs, sensors, and electronic modules for drone platforms, contributing to designs from initial concepts through detailed design and manufacturing
  • Support PCB and product verification activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation; contribute to electrical and mechanical validation such as EMI/EMC compliance testing, thermal cycling, and mechanical shock testing
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design concepts, schematics and CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and repair documentation
  • Collaborate with test engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support the transition of hardware designs from development to production
  • Work with hardware and software engineers to define electronics requirements, system interfaces, and design solutions
  • Support troubleshooting and design improvements based on test results, production feedback, and field performance
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and best practices within the hardware team

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in PCB design and electronic product development, including prototyping, layout, and testing
  • Good understanding of mixed-signal PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity principles
  • Hands-on experience with PCB testing and troubleshooting, including basic EMC considerations
  • Experience with Altium Designer is highly desirable
  • Experience with high-power applications, ESCs, and lithium batteries is an advantage
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional hardware/software team
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • CH/EU citizenship required
