We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team and play a key role in optimizing manufacturing operations, driving process improvements, and supporting the production of customized heavy-duty trucks that meet our customers' exact specifications.
What You'll Do
As an Industrial Engineer, you will partner with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, and sales to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality throughout our production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze and optimize heavy-duty truck assembly processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and shorten cycle times.
- Design and implement efficient production layouts, workflows, and workstation configurations using lean manufacturing principles.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and process simulations to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to support customized truck builds and evolving customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to drive consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of automation, robotics, ERP systems, and other technology solutions to improve scalability and delivery timelines.
- Analyze manufacturing data and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational best practices.
- Assist with cost analysis and budgeting efforts for process improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Master's degree and/or professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer are preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of industrial engineering experience, preferably within manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, or heavy machinery environments.
- Experience with process optimization, production system design, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and process simulation software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks Composer, or NX Unigraphics is a plus.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience using process modeling and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Arena, or Minitab.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.
- Interest in automation technologies, data analytics, and continuous improvement practices.
