The posting

This role focuses on the layout and automation of photonic integrated circuit designs, combining layout engineering with software automation for a photonics design team.

## Tasks - Execute layout of passive and active photonic components and full circuits - Contribute to component design and perform DRC and LVS checks - Develop and maintain internal layout component library and automation scripts - Interface with process and yield engineering teams on manufacturing requirements - Design test structures to monitor fabrication capabilities - Support characterization team with data extraction and test planning - Document scripts, layout methodologies and library components

## Profile - MSc or PhD in photonics or a related field - Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience in integrated optics layout and/or automation programming - Expert competence with layout tools such as GDSfactory or IPKISS - Expert proficiency in Python programming for automation and scripting - Familiarity with code versioning such as Git - Familiarity with dataset analysis linking experimental data to physical layout features - Working proficiency in English
