This role designs and maintains onboard network architectures for ETCS and other signalling systems on rolling stock.

## Tasks - Create and maintain network architectures for ETCS and other signalling systems on rolling stock - Define, document and manage network designs, interfaces and communication concepts - Configure and commission onboard networks for ETCS equipment and signalling systems - Create and maintain network configurations, VLAN concepts, IP addressing and security settings - Coordinate technically with system engineering, cyber security, vehicle engineering and commissioning teams - Analyse and troubleshoot network and communication issues during integration and operation - Support system testing, vehicle acceptance and on-site fault diagnostics

## Profile - University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or comparable qualification - Solid knowledge of Ethernet networks, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls and TCP/IP protocols - Experience designing and implementing network architectures and configurations - Experience analysing network data using diagnostic and monitoring tools - Experience configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and integrating them into network architectures - Experience with cybersecurity solutions, security monitoring and vulnerability management - Fluent English required, German an advantage
