What You'll Do:
Install, configure, and support audio, video, electronic communications, presentation, monitoring, and signal-routing systems used in dedicated control room environments. Complete cabling, labeling, terminations, rack integration, equipment mounting, and device connections in accordance with project standards and documentation. Collaborate with Design Engineers and Project Managers to plan, integrate, test, commission, and obtain customer acceptance for assigned control room projects within established schedule and budget requirements. Conduct on-site surveys of control rooms, equipment rooms, operator positions, and related technical spaces; identify field conditions and resolve installation needs or issues. Interpret system flow diagrams, rack elevations, detail drawings, floor plans, cable schedules, and other project documentation to ensure the installation is completed as designed. Verify end-to-end audio, video, control, network, and monitoring signal paths and troubleshoot system performance issues. Support testing and validation of operator consoles, Multiview displays, video walls, KVM systems, intercoms, control processors, and other mission-critical control room technologies. Document system changes, test results, open issues, and final configuration details accurately. Communicate professionally with customers, project teams, and other trades while serving as a technical lead on-site. Follow site safety, security, quality-control, and change-management requirements in operationally sensitive environments.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time to customer sites, including frequent overnight stays and occasional extended assignments, based on project needs. What You Bring for Success:
Previous experience installing, integrating, servicing, or commissioning audio, video, audiovisual, presentation, or control room systems. Experience working in dedicated control room environments such as operations centers, command and control rooms, network operations centers, security operations centers, emergency operations centers, broadcast control rooms, or similar mission-critical spaces. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, system flow diagrams, rack elevations, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and technical documentation. Strong understanding of AV signal flow, cabling standards, terminations, equipment racks, control systems, and basic network connectivity. Ability to work independently, stay self-directed, and manage priorities while coordinating effectively with Design Engineers, Project Managers, technicians, customers, and other trades. Professional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills. Ability to troubleshoot calmly and methodically in time-sensitive, operationally critical environments. Training in electronics and basic computer literacy through education, on-the-job experience, or certification is preferred. AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification is preferred.
