Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an outstanding individual to be a customer quality representative for placements of our day-old parent stock chicks. This position will work closely with multiple teams within Aviagen including Quality, Sales & Technical, and Hatchery management while providing quality support to our customer. This position could be based in the North Carolina / Southeast Tennessee area and will report to Aviagen North America’s Customer Quality Manager.

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities will include:

· Attend customer placements within assigned area (TX, OK, AR)

· Provide quality assurance support at customer placements.

· Communicate with Hatchery management and Technical managers regarding placement and chick quality observations.

· Develop good working relationships with all customers and Aviagen Teams.

· Write detailed trip reports after each placement.

· Willing to travel up to 70% in assigned area; (TX, OK, AR) and occasionally attend placements in other regions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

· Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science or related field and/or relevant experience.

· Knowledge of hatchery operations or the poultry industry.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel (with Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Word.

· Must be self-motivated and disciplined, and capable of working unsupervised along with the having a flexible and adaptable work schedule.

· Have effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and social skills.

· Strong time management and organization with an emphasis on the ability to prioritize objectives and plan tasks

· Must be able to effectively and professionally resolve conflict.
