The posting

ALG is currently recruiting for a Technical Training Specialist for our client based in the west region. The role focuses on developing technicians’ skills, monitory competency levels, and coordinating training initiatives to support safe and effective operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technical training and competency development programmes to enhance technicians’ skills and capabilities.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to identify training needs and address competency gaps.
  • Coordinate training arrangements, including trainers, venues, schedules, and training materials.
  • Monitor and track technicians’ competency levels to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain and update training records, assessment results, and competency certifications.
  • Identify workforce competency gaps and coordinate suitable training with the relevant teams.
  • Identify technicians’ development needs and support the implementation of appropriate training programmes.
  • Review and improve existing training materials and programmes to meet operational needs.

Job Requirements

  • NITEC or equivalent in engineering field
  • Experience in technical training, competency development, or skills assessment is preferred
  • Good organisational and coordination skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
