We’re looking for an Early Careers and Learning Advisor to join our People & Culture Team.

Location: Northwest. Being able to attend both our Warrington and Chorley offices would be beneficial. This role offers hybrid working, combining office attendance with home-based working. Contract Type: Full time permanent. Benefits: 24 days annual leave, life insurance and a range of family-friendly policies and benefits.

The Early Careers and Learning Advisor coordinates the delivery of Avove’s early careers programmes, including apprenticeships, graduate programmes, placements, T Levels and work experience. Early careers is the role’s primary area of responsibility, with the role also providing delivery support for wider learning, skills and workforce capability initiatives led by the Workforce and Capability Manager. The role provides day-to-day programme coordination, learner support, data management and stakeholder engagement. It works closely with managers, mentors, training providers and educational partners and supports the practical delivery, administration and evaluation of agreed learning and capability priorities across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective working relationships with apprentices, graduates, managers, mentors, training providers and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact throughout programme delivery. Provide day-to-day support and guidance to managers, mentors and learners on programme requirements, learning objectives, development opportunities, welfare support and key programme milestones. Monitor apprentice and graduate progress, attendance, wellbeing and performance, identifying risks and escalating concerns where appropriate to ensure successful programme outcomes. Liaise regularly with training providers to coordinate progress reviews, learner assessments, programme documentation, end-point assessment preparation and compliance requirements. Maintain accurate learner records and programme documentation, ensuring apprenticeship, funding and compliance requirements are always met and audit ready. Support the administration of apprenticeship levy funding, CITB grants, off-the-job training records and associated provider documentation, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are achieved. Produce, analyse and maintain programme reports and management information, tracking key metrics including recruitment, retention, completion, progression, diversity and programme effectiveness. Support the attraction, recruitment and onboarding of apprentices, graduates, placements and work experience students, including candidate communications, assessment activities and recruitment events. Coordinate and deliver education and community engagement activities, including school, college and university partnerships, STEM initiatives, work experience programmes, T Level placements and employer branding campaigns. Support the delivery of learning, skills and workforce capability initiatives by coordinating workshops, development events, learning suppliers, communications, programme evaluation, skills-gap analysis and continuous improvement activities, while providing project and administrative support across wider workforce development programmes.

Skills and Experience:

Strong organisational and programme coordination skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Relationship-building and stakeholder management capability. Coaching and pastoral support skills for young people and early careers colleagues. Recruitment and candidate management skills. Data management, reporting and analytical skills. Event planning and delivery skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Supporting the delivery of apprenticeship, graduate, placement, work experience or other early careers programmes. Engaging with young people through education, employment, outreach or development initiatives. Supporting the coordination or delivery of wider learning, development or workforce capability initiatives. Working within a People & Culture, learning and development, or workforce capability environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
