About the Role

The APAC Technical Coordinator supports the Group CAD Engineering Manager by collaborating with CAD, Sales, Estimation, and Operations Teams across the region. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate creation of CAD drawing packages, providing guidance to the CAD team, managing drawing and design coordination requests, and supporting regional service deliverables to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Provide technical support & coordination with sales, design, and estimation teams.

Post-Sales Support:

  • Attend internal project handover meetings.
  • Conduct technical reviews of sales orders and associated project paperwork.
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators to ensure sales orders reflect final system design.
  • Clarify technical scope, acceptance criteria, and identify project priorities, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Design detailed systems, including the provision of outline scope of works, device and wiring schedules, and programming sheets for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Collaborate with the CAD team to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Proactively identify technical risks that may affect timing, specifications, budgets, and project outcomes.
  • Assist in the collation of as-built drawings and O&M documentation.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including internal handover to the Service team.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Meet assigned expectations for timely completion and quality standards for all technical support activities.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation and reporting across all support functions.
  • Ensure quality of delivery through consistent communications, effective mitigation of risk, and issue resolution.
  • Drive improvement to gain productivity and improve service outcomes.
  • Take the lead by confronting and owning issues promptly and acting as necessary.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our security solutions, design requirements, and installation standards applicable to business requirements

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical and/or design support/coordination roles, with a clear understanding of the end-to-end process and what drives effective and timely completion of projects and/or support tasks (preferably in the field of electronic integrated security systems).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and implementation practices (preferably in the field of integrated security systems).
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of electronic integrated security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to share knowledge and information at the right time with the right people.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective interaction with clients to maintain confidence in AVTEL.
  • A caring person with a diverse range of skills, cultures, and work environments across a wide geographic area.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills - ability to plan and prioritize.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Professional certifications in CAD or design engineering are preferred.
  • Experience in using Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF collaboration tools is preferred.
  • Good computer skills - MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Projects, and Outlook
