This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving enterprise strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring AXA XL remains well-positioned to succeed in an evolving global insurance and reinsurance landscape. What you’ll be doing As Chief Strategy Officer, you will partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to define, communicate, and execute AXA XL's strategic priorities. You will provide insights on market trends, growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and business transformation initiatives that support long-term value creation. Key responsibilities include: Leading the development and execution of AXA XL's strategic plan and transformation agenda. Advising executive leadership on market trends, competitive dynamics, emerging risks, and growth opportunities. Driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including innovation, operational excellence, and business transformation programs. Identifying inorganic growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion opportunities. Collaborating with business leaders to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes. Leading executive-level strategic planning processes and performance monitoring. Supporting Board-level discussions through strategic analysis, recommendations, and reporting. Promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. What you’ll bring Proven executive leadership experience in strategy, business transformation, consulting, insurance, reinsurance, or financial services. Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into actionable business strategies. Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide transformation and change initiatives. Experience influencing senior executives, Boards, and key stakeholders. Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across diverse teams. Understanding of insurance, reinsurance, risk management, and global market trends is highly valued.
