Werkplek

De dienst Pneumologie bevindt zich op campus Sint-Elisabeth en telt 32 bedden. Deze afdeling staat voornamelijk in voor de behandeling van patiënten met longaandoeningen.

Als verpleegkundige overleg je dagelijks met de pneumoloog over de gezondheidstoestand van jouw patiënten. Verpleegtechnische handelingen zoals Optiflow, thoraxdrainage en het werken met infuuspompen komen regelmatig voor op de dienst. Daarnaast speelt ook de emotionele ondersteuning van patiënten en hun familie een belangrijke rol. Het begeleiden na slecht-nieuwsgesprekken en het omgaan met het levenseinde zijn onlosmakelijk verbonden met het werk op deze afdeling. Verder geef je gezondheidsvoorlichting en -opvoeding, bijvoorbeeld over het correct toepassen van inhalatietherapie. Ook motiveer je patiënten om stappen te zetten richting een rookvrij leven.

De komende jaren bouwen we aan ons ‘Gasthuis in het groen’: een gloednieuw ziekenhuis op campus Sint-Jozef waar we alle diensten van de huidige twee campussen samenbrengen.

Functie

  • Je staat, samen met het multidisciplinair team, in voor de totale verpleegkundige zorg en de administratieve opvolging hiervan.
  • Je werkt 50%, 60%,75%, 80%, 90% of voltijds (bespreekbaar).
  • Je werkt in shiften (vroege, late, dag- en nachtdiensten).
  • Je werkt één op twee weekends. Als je aan 50% arbeidsbreuk werkt, werk je één op vier weekends.

Profiel

  • Je beschikt over een graduaat basisverpleegkunde, een HBO5- of een bachelorsdiploma in de verpleegkunde of een bachelor in de vroedkunde (bachelor vroedkunde enkel indien behaald voor 01/10/2018).
  • Je bent empathisch aangelegd en draagt graag zorg voor palliatieve patiënten.
  • Je bent patiëntgericht, discreet en vriendelijk.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en kan acute situaties ondervangen.
  • Je toont een betrokken, positieve en initiatief nemende werkhouding. Je staat open voor verandering en vernieuwing, en blijft je bijscholen in het werkdomein.
  • Je kan goed overweg met recente informatica-technische toepassingen.
