The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.

What You’ll Do…

  • Partner with business owners, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to resolve fixed asset coding, purchase order, invoice, and in-service date questions.
  • Prepare and post recurring and nonrecurring journal entries related to fixed assets, depreciation, construction in progress, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other assigned close areas.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset and other assigned balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
  • Monitor construction-in-progress balances and coordinate with project owners to place completed assets into service promptly.
  • Support periodic physical asset inventories and asset verification activities, including research and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Prepare fixed asset rollforwards, depreciation forecasts, and other schedules supporting management reporting and financial statement disclosures.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
  • Provide documentation and schedules for internal and external audits, including support for asset additions, disposals, reconciliations, and key controls.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established close procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve close efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the accuracy of fixed asset reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting analysis and support other general ledger responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of general accounting experience, including fixed asset accounting and month-end close responsibilities.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP and fixed asset systems.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple close deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Experience in a publicly traded, multi-entity, or global organization is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
