Baker Tilly has an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance transformation leader to join our growing Digital Consulting practice. We combine deep industry, functional and technology capabilities to help insurers navigate complex business and digital transformations, modernize core operations and deliver measurable business outcomes. This Senior Manager will lead client engagements and multidisciplinary teams while helping expand our insurance industry capabilities.

You Will Enjoy This Role If...

· You are energized by solving complex business and technology challenges for insurance organizations.

· You enjoy leading diverse teams and translating strategy into practical, measurable change.

· You thrive in an entrepreneurial, collaborative consulting environment and want to help grow an insurance-focused offering.

· You value building trusted relationships with clients, coaching colleagues and continually developing your expertise.

What You Will Do

· Lead insurance client engagements from discovery and business case development through roadmap, design, implementation, testing, deployment and adoption.

· Advise property and casualty, life and annuity, health insurance, broker, MGA and insurance services clients as relevant to your expertise; understand their operating models, distribution channels and regulatory considerations.

· Manage transformation programs across insurance functions such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, customer and agent experience, finance and distribution.

· Translate business priorities into transformation roadmaps, requirements, delivery plans, milestones, budgets, governance structures and measurable performance indicators.

· Guide core system modernization, platform integration, process redesign, cloud and digital enablement, data and analytics, intelligent automation and responsible AI use cases.

· Facilitate workshops with insurance business leaders, CIO/technology teams, operations leaders and third-party solution providers to define requirements, prioritize initiatives and resolve tradeoffs.

· Direct cross-functional Baker Tilly, client and vendor teams; manage workstreams, staffing, dependencies, risks, issues, quality and executive reporting.

· Build compelling business cases and track outcomes such as expense reduction, cycle-time improvement, improved claims or underwriting performance, customer experience and operational resilience.

· Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders; communicate clear recommendations and proactively identify follow-on opportunities.

· Contribute to proposals, scoping, thought leadership, go-to-market efforts, delivery methods and reusable insurance transformation assets.

· Coach and develop consultants and managers, foster an inclusive team culture and uphold high standards of client service and delivery.

Successful Candidates Will Have

· Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, finance, insurance or a related field.

· At least 8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, insurance industry transformation, enterprise program delivery or related roles; substantial experience serving or working within insurance organizations strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated knowledge of insurance business processes and technology ecosystems, with depth in one or more of underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, distribution or customer experience.

· Proven success leading complex, cross-functional business and technology transformation engagements, including managing multiple workstreams, budgets, vendors and senior stakeholders.

· Ability to connect insurance business strategy to technology decisions, operating model changes, process improvements and quantifiable outcomes.

· Experience eliciting requirements, developing business cases and roadmaps, leading workshops, and overseeing implementation and change management.

· Strong executive communication, facilitation, analytical, relationship management, team leadership and problem-solving skills.

· Experience with full lifecycle technology implementations, integrations and testing; familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

· Ability to travel as needed and work outside standard business hours when client engagements require it.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with insurance platforms or ecosystems such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco or comparable solutions.

· Experience applying advanced analytics, AI or automation to insurance operations, with appropriate governance and risk considerations.

· PMP, PgMP, Agile or comparable project/program management certification.

· Prior consulting experience supporting business development, proposal development and account expansion.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
