As Operations Strategist, your job will be to help manage day-to-day warehouse operations and order processing tasks for our businesses, as well as assist in various other operations related tasks like forecasting, transfers, allocation. Your primary responsibility will be to be point of contact within company to communicate with the warehouses for order processing, and then work cross functionally towards optimizing inventory allocation and order processing. A successful candidate is curious and often finds themselves as the person at the table asking “why?” or “is there a better way?”.
The Operations Analyst will also collaborate with various departments, working on cross-functional projects. Whether it is communicating inventory or helping the customer success team track down an order, you will partner with multiple functions throughout Balsam Brands. You will also collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure warehouses are supporting any marketplace, PR, RTP and special project processing tasks. In addition, you will jump in to help our team, improve our capabilities, and handle challenges by gathering and providing data in a resourceful manner.
This position reports to the Director of Operations. This is a full-time position located in Boise, ID. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model, which includes three days in-office.
What you’ll do:
- Work with warehouses to facilitate the movement of orders and inventory and coordinate with shipping carriers
- Monitor supply chain and financial metrics to optimize the costs and experience of shipping to customer
- Partner with supply chain, customer service, internal cross-functional partners and external vendors making process improvements and solving operational challenges
- Collaborate with remote teams across geographies using a variety of technologies
- Prepare reports for senior leadership to improve visibility of operational challenges, identify opportunities to optimize order processing, inventory allocation and inventory management.
- Become an expert in various operational processes such as communicating effectively with warehouses, supporting all order processing tasks and optimizing inventory allocation.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred, preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis – Retail, eCommerce, or supply chain experience a bonus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated history of teamwork, including a willingness to jump in to help accomplish tasks
- Inquisitive mind and analytical approach to solving problems
- A sharp eye for the detail
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel; ability to learn software programs
- Demonstrated AI literacy, enabling effective understanding, interaction, and critical evaluation of AI technologies and applications across diverse business functions

The base pay range for this position is: $65,000 to $80,000. Where an individual falls within that range will vary based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on candidate qualifications and experience, applicable skills, and other job-related factors. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
