The posting

Banyan Software is the best permanent home for software businesses that serve specialized industries, their employees, and their customers. With a buy-grow-and-hold-for-life approach and a permanent capital base, Banyan acquires and grows companies worldwide, honoring founder legacies and helping portfolio companies modernize through shared AI expertise and operational discipline. Founded in 2016, Banyan operates more than 120 portfolio companies across North and South America, Europe, and APAC, and has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list for six consecutive years. The Banyan Software Foundation, endowed with $100 million in Banyan stock, leverages technology to build a greener and more equitable world.

About Berkeley Myles Group:

Berkeley Myles Group, builds on-premise ERP/MIS software for SME manufacturers — covering MRP, job costing, stock control, works orders and labour tracking, with integrations into Sage, Xero and Pegasus. We work with 700+ customers across motorsport, aerospace, defence and electronics.

Berkeley Myles Group has recently brought Javelin into the business, bringing together two established manufacturing software providers under one roof. We are part of the Banyan Software portfolio and are investing in a cloud relaunch of the platform, landing in Q4 2026 — a genuine growth phase for the business, not a maintenance one.

The Role:

This is a new role for Berkeley Myles — created to build a dedicated Account Management function from the ground up. As Key Account Manager, you’ll own and grow our entire existing customer base (700+ SME manufacturers) once integrated, focused on retention, licence expansion and module growth.

You’ll work with production, operations, finance and IT stakeholders inside SME manufacturing businesses — helping them get more value from the system they already run, and identifying where additional modules, users or capability can support their growth.

You report directly to the Commercial Director, and will play a central role in shaping how Berkeley Myles does account management going forward. In our own GTM model, this role owns three stages end to end: Adoption, Expansion, and Advocacy & Referral. Everything before that (Awareness, Nurture, Sales, Close) sits with Marketing and the BDR team — your world starts once a customer is live.

You’ll carry clear commercial targets across retention, renewal and expansion revenue, set by the Commercial Director and reviewed regularly. We’re not looking for someone who manages relationships and waits for renewals to happen; we’re looking for someone who goes after the number. You will:

  • Own and grow the full customer base (700+ SME manufacturers) across
  • motorsport, aerospace, defence, electronics and beyond
  • Build trusted relationships with production, operations, finance and IT stakeholders within existing accounts
  • Develop and execute account plans focused on retention, licence expansion and module growth
  • Lead commercial conversations on renewals, upsell and expansion — owning the numbers behind them
  • Consistently meet or exceed the quarterly and annual retention and expansion revenue targets set for
  • the role
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts, working with Support, Implementation and Product to drive adoption and uncover expansion potential
  • Spot accounts missing key modules — accounts link, quality, shop floor, debt collection, labour, and time; attendance — and build the case for adding them
  • Understand our subscription vs. perpetual licensing options well enough to guide customers to the right commercial fit as we transition toward subscription
  • Maintain disciplined CRM and forecasting hygiene in HubSpot, giving clear visibility of account health and pipeline
  • Build the structure and processes for account management across a couple of products.
  • Support customers through the Javelin integration and the move to our new cloud platform, keeping confidence high through change
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK (and occasionally further afield) to build relationships face to face

Qualifications for success:

  • 3+ years’; experience in software/SaaS account management, customer success or a commercial growth role, with a proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding revenue/retention targets
  • Manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred — you understand production environments, or you’re quick to learn how they operate
  • Proven experience managing renewal and expansion conversations, ideally against named commercial targets
  • Comfortable building trust with senior stakeholders (ops, production, finance) inside SME businesses
  • Confident, organised and structured — you bring discipline to CRM and account planning
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM is a plus
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven, firm-but-fair environment — happy to be measured on outcomes
  • Comfortable operating independently and building something new, rather than following an established process

What's on offer?

  • The chance to build and own a brand-new function, with real influence over how it’s shaped
  • Direct reporting line to the Commercial Director
  • A defined book of 700+ existing customers to grow into — no cold prospecting
  • £45,000 base salary + commission on expansion/upsell revenue, £75,000 OTE
  • Part of a business backed by Banyan Software and going through a genuine growth phase (Javelin integration, cloud relaunch in 2026)
  • Hybrid working from home, with travel to our Glasgow office as required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
