Assistant Restaurant Manager

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Bastard, you play a crucial role in the operation and take significant responsibility for delivering a world-class product. You may be an expert in the kitchen or provide excellent service, but in this role, you are expected to be interested in both aspects.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you are also responsible for evaluating and developing various areas of your restaurant. You ensure that you are an operational expert, fully aware of what happens in the day-to-day operations. Together with the restaurant manager, you continuously evaluate to improve and develop the culture and the KPIs we consider important. When the restaurant manager is not present, you are the highest authority. The work involves high operational responsibility with administrative elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-responsibility for the operation with the restaurant manager
  • Support the restaurant manager in leading the team, where you prioritize the team over the individual
  • Work on improvements in service, quality, inventory, COGS, and waste, scheduling
  • Continuously ensure that all food safety routines are followed

  • Has previous experience in the restaurant or service industry, preferably with personnel responsibility
  • Can speak Finnish and/or English, with proficiency in both languages being advantageous
  • Is available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Has good communication skills
  • Is structured and responsible
  • Is motivated by and can motivate employees to work towards set goals
