The posting

BBGC is a specialist consultancy for commodity trading and energy markets. It delivers transformation projects across trading systems, data and architecture. This role sits on those client projects and connects front office, risk, operations, finance and technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, build and support ETL frameworks that move commercial data between client systems.
  • Integrate trading, planning, ERP, CRM, shipping and market data platforms through APIs and database interfaces.
  • Build and maintain data integrations for deal management, tenders, spot sales and trade documentation.
  • Load and validate market price data for use in sales, planning and reporting tools.
  • Design and manage the SQL databases that support these integrations.
  • Turn requirements from front office, operations, finance and technology teams into technical designs.
  • Plan releases, manage tickets and document work in tools such as Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence.
  • Provide Power BI reporting and data analysis for client teams.
  • Lead small development teams and project workstreams when needed.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of data integration work on commercial systems in commodities, mining, energy or shipping.
  • Strong SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS and ETL skills.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems through APIs.
  • Experience with market data and with deal or trade data.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience managing delivery with Git and ticketing tools.
  • Experience leading developers or technical workstreams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred

  • Mongolian language proficiency.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Anaplan, SAP BW/4HANA, IMOS or ZEMA.
  • Hands-on experience with a CTRM platform in relation to Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the commodity trade lifecycle and risk concepts such as MTM, VaR and exposure.
