Senior Climber & Tree Crew Leader Job in South Charlotte, NC | Leadership Role | $30–$35/hr + Benefits

Join one of our customers for a leadership role as a Senior Climber / Crew Leader in South Charlotte!

We’re recruiting experienced tree care professionals with strong climbing, rigging, and crew management skills. If you have 3+ years of leading tree crews, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and quality, apply now for this fast-paced role with competitive pay and benefits.

Job Location:

South Charlotte, NC — near major routes with easy access and parking

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead daily operations on residential and commercial tree care sites
  • Supervise and mentor crew members in climbing, pruning, rigging, and removals
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including use of PPE and job safety analysis
  • Operate equipment like chainsaws, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, cranes, stump grinders, and chippers
  • Manage jobsite setup, cleanup, and client property protection
  • Communicate clearly with clients, homeowners, and management
  • Track crew hours and productivity via online timesheets
  • Conduct safety meetings and continuous improvement reviews
  • Monitor inventory and report equipment needs
  • Drive revenue and efficiency by meeting production targets

What You Need:

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required) — absolutely required to apply
  • 3+ years experience leading residential/commercial tree crews
  • Strong technical skills in climbing, rigging, pruning per ANSI A300 standards
  • Ability to operate chainsaws and aerial equipment safely and skillfully
  • Commitment to safety and leadership—model use of PPE and jobsite protocols
  • Able to lift 50 lbs repetitively and work 40–55 hours/week in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screen and random testing

Certifications like CTSP, ISA, TRAQ are a plus but not required.
