Job Description

This role is responsible defining and governing the measurement strategy, outcome framework, success metrics, instrumentation, experimentation, and reporting practices used across the product lifecycle. Working as a strategic partner within the product team model, the role translates product vision and business goals into measurable hypotheses and provides the insights needed to evaluate performance, adoption, and value delivered.

  • Define and govern the product measurement strategy and outcome framework, aligning key performance indicators, success measures, and value-realization indicators with product vision, customer needs, and business goals.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, business leaders, and product teams to translate desired outcomes into measurable hypotheses, success criteria, metric definitions, and learning plans across the product lifecycle.
  • Establish measurement standards and define data and event instrumentation requirements in collaboration with engineering, data, and analytics teams; verify that measurement coverage supports reliable evaluation of product performance and customer behavior.
  • Design and oversee product experimentation, including A/B and multivariate testing, and ensure statistically sound test design, analysis, interpretation, and communication of results.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reporting that provide clear visibility into product performance, adoption, customer outcomes, operational results, and value delivered.
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making by identifying gaps in measurement coverage, improving metric quality and comparability, communicating insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and helping teams act on measured outcomes and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, economics, computer science, business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years experience in measurement, analytics, product analytics, business intelligence, or a data-driven product role is required.
  • Experience operating in agile product delivery models is required.
  • Experience defining key performance indicator and outcome frameworks in complex, cross-functional environments; designing and interpreting experiments; defining instrumentation and event tracking with engineering and data teams; and working with enterprise platforms, digital channels, or large-scale systems is required.
  • Equivalent or relevant BCBSM experience may be considered to satisfy the requirements outlined above. Demonstrated expertise in measurement and analytics, strategic thinking, and business impact may be considered in lieu of certain experience requirements.
  • Advanced analytical and statistical skills; ability to design robust measurement approaches and translate business and customer outcomes into measurable metrics and hypotheses.
  • Proficiency with structured query language, business intelligence dashboards, analytics tools, and experimentation platforms.
  • Knowledge of data quality, instrumentation, metric governance, and experimental design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex measurement concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Structured, detail-oriented problem solving skills.
  • Ability to influence, establish alignment, and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability.

Candidates are hired on an "at will" basis. Nothing herein is intended to create a contract.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
