The posting

Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), which now includes Project Management Advisors (PMA), is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in San Fransico.

This is a hybrid role based in San Fransico, CA.

The Opportunity

An opportunity for a driven project management professional who is eager to grow their career, thrives in collaborative environments, and enjoys working with innovative clients and project teams to deliver complex facilities and real estate projects.

At Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), we lead the planning, development, and management of the places that shape and strengthen communities—where people live, learn, work, and innovate. B&D partners with institutions, municipalities, and organizations to deliver complex real estate and capital projects through strategic advisory and program management services across the full project lifecycle.

B&D recently joined forces with Project Management Advisors (PMA), bringing together two nationally recognized leaders in program management and real estate advisory services. Together, the combined firm offers expanded capabilities across industries and end-to-end project delivery—from early-stage strategy through design, construction, and occupancy.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the planning, design, and construction of a diverse portfolio of facilities and real estate projects, working closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams. The initial focus for this role will be on Life Sciences projects, with opportunities to gain exposure to a variety of project types and sectors. You will contribute throughout the project lifecycle while developing your project management, technical, and client-facing skills.

  • Assist with project cost, schedule, and risk analysis and help identify potential impacts and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to support successful project delivery
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, bid documents, and other project documentation
  • Support procurement activities, including the coordination of design, construction, and consultant services
  • Assist with contract development, review, administration, and related project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, document action items, and follow up with stakeholders to drive accountability
  • Assist with the review of potential changes to project budgets and schedules
  • Support value engineering discussions and evaluation of alternative solutions
  • Maintain project open-item lists and follow up on outstanding issues
  • Monitor construction activities through site observations, job walks, field reports, and other project controls
  • Assist with identifying and reporting construction, safety, quality, schedule, and coordination issues
  • Support project closeout activities and successful turnover to the client
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders while contributing to a collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
