About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager with significant GST expertise to join our Indirect Tax team in Perth, working directly under the guidance of a new partner. In this role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary group of tax professionals who possess outstanding technical and industry knowledge. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape and grow the Indirect Tax practice from the ground up, advance your career in GST/indirect taxes, and develop a diverse set of skills while delivering solutions to clients.

Candidates with experience in fuel tax and/or state taxes will also have the opportunity to further develop this area of specialisation as part of the expanding team.

In this role you will be given the opportunity to:

  • Learn about your clients, the industry in which they work and their business objectives while developing your client management skills
  • Work with an inclusive and collaborative team with license to be curious and creative
  • Provide advice on cutting edge indirect tax issues to a prestigious client base
  • Develop technical expertise across a variety of indirect taxes
  • Receive excellent training, mentoring and support to forge a rewarding career
  • Undertake relevant postgraduate study in accounting and/or law (including practical legal training)

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years’ of work experience within professional services, law firm or a regulatory environment (Government or Industry).
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Law
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Professional Services, Legal firm or the ATO
  • Excellent client advisory and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Australian/NZ Citizenship, Australian/NZ Permanent Residency, or fulltime working rights
